1. Who we are

Taskiko (“we”, “us”) operates an online platform connecting customers in the UAE with independent home-service professionals. This policy explains what personal data we collect and how we use it.

2. Data we collect

• Contact & identity: your mobile number and name.
• Booking details: the service, date, time window, your area/community and address line, and booking status.
• Ratings: any rating and comment you leave after a service.
• Payments: arranged directly with our team after booking. We do not collect or store card details online.
• Technical: a short-lived sign-in token stored in your browser session, and basic request data (e.g. IP) used for security and rate-limiting.

3. How we use your data

To create and manage your bookings, verify your number by SMS code, assign and brief a Pro, arrange payment, provide customer support, prevent abuse, and improve the service.

4. Verification

We verify your mobile number with a one-time code sent via an SMS provider. Your number is used as your account identifier so we can show your bookings.

5. Who we share with

• The assigned Pro receives the job details needed to perform the service (your name, contact number, address and the booking), including via WhatsApp.
• Supabase hosts our database and authentication.

We do not sell your personal data.

6. Where your data is stored

Our database is hosted in the European Union. Where personal data is processed outside the UAE, we rely on appropriate safeguards and your consent at the point of booking, consistent with UAE PDPL principles.

7. Cookies & local storage

We keep our use of browser storage minimal, primarily a short-lived session token to keep you signed in. We don’t use advertising trackers.

8. Retention

We keep booking and payment records for as long as needed to provide the service and to meet legal, tax and dispute-resolution obligations, then delete or anonymise them.

9. Your rights

Subject to UAE law, you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, and withdraw consent. To exercise these rights, contact us using the details on our homepage.

10. Children

The service is intended for adults (18+). We do not knowingly collect data from children.

We may update this policy; the “Last updated” date above reflects the latest version.
