1. About these terms

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of Taskiko (“Taskiko”, “we”, “us”), an online platform that connects customers in the United Arab Emirates with vetted, independent home-service professionals (“Pros”). By booking a service or using the platform, you agree to these Terms.

2. The service

Taskiko lets you discover services, choose a time slot, and book a Pro to carry out work at your address. Taskiko facilitates the booking and payment; the Pros are independent contractors who perform the work. We are not the provider of the underlying home services.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and located in an area we serve within the UAE. You agree to provide accurate contact and address information so the booking can be fulfilled.

4. Bookings & payment

When you book, you select a service, a date and a time window, and verify your mobile number to confirm the booking. Our team then contacts you to confirm details and arrange payment of the quoted price. For hourly services, the first hour is the base price and any extra time is settled after. For services where materials are needed, labour and materials are billed separately. Slot availability is limited.

5. Pricing & payment

Prices are shown in AED and may be indicative (“from”) where the final price depends on an on-site assessment. Payment is arranged directly with our team after you book; we do not collect card details online. Applicable taxes (including 5% VAT where relevant) may be added.

6. Cancellation, reschedule & refunds

You may cancel or reschedule a booking from your account while it is still confirmed or assigned (before the Pro is on the way). Rescheduling moves your booking to a new available slot. Payments are not refunded automatically on cancellation. To request a refund, contact our support team and we will review it. Once a Pro is on the way or the service is completed, the payment is non-refundable.

7. The professionals

Pros are independent contractors, not employees or agents of Taskiko. We take reasonable steps to vet Pros, but you are responsible for supervising work carried out at your property and for ensuring a safe environment. Any direct arrangements you make with a Pro outside the platform are at your own risk.

8. Your responsibilities

You agree to provide safe and reasonable access to the property at the booked time, accurate information, and a respectful environment for the Pro. You are responsible for securing valuables and for any permissions required for the work.

9. Ratings & content

After a completed service you may submit a rating and comment. You are responsible for the content you submit; it must be lawful, accurate, and free of offensive or infringing material. We may remove content that breaches these Terms.

10. Liability

The platform is provided “as is”. To the maximum extent permitted by UAE law, Taskiko is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability in connection with a booking is limited to the amounts you paid to Taskiko for that booking. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.

11. Prohibited conduct

You agree not to misuse the platform, including attempting to bypass payment, submitting false bookings, harassing Pros or staff, or using the service for unlawful purposes.

12. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date above, and continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates, and the courts of Dubai have jurisdiction over any dispute, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer-protection rights.
